Title:  Technical Sales Engineer

  • Location:  Aktau, Kazakhstan

Purpose of the job

Defines Tenaris products and discovers those needed for the future, applying products into new applications and technically proving Tenaris value. Sells Tenaris products and services through engineered, value based solutions.          

Manages Technical Assistance services by understanding customer's situations and ensuring the optimum resolution of customer's claims.  Develops new products for the local market, applying them into new applications and providing to the customer technically Tenaris value.

                                                                       

Main Responsibilities

    • Builds high-quality, lasting technical relationship, guided by a strong understanding of customer needs
    • Connects customer needs into Tenaris Product Development, forecasting and investing future applications and products.  
    • Discovers opportunities, add value to customer operations, proves differentiation. Assists in the development and distribution of sales tools with a proactive sales approach
    • Becomes an empowered, trusted member of customer's team, offers value added services (string design, running services, inspection, etc)  
    • Assists a team, and at times leads the customer investigation and claims management process.
    • Provides a technical support role considering urgent, important  problems.  
    • Participates in setting and reviewing customer specific sales strategies; general technical review of tenders; communicate developments; give technical opinions on licensees; report competition developments; defend Tenaris intellectual property and other operational  topics. 

 Skills Required:

  • Recent graduated with strong technical background; international experience is a plus
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry’s main clients and competitors
  • Ability to understand and transmit client needs
  • Active listening
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels and in a multicultural environment (both written and verbal)
  • Pro-activeness, strategic and analytical thinking
  • Networking – capacity to build external and internal networks.
  • English: high-intermediate
