MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:
- Implements Quality policies and programs in the region, ensuring compliance of plant operations with Tenaris policies.
- Provides technical assistance during the production cycle.
- Validates quality requirements and technical specifications of customers and performs follow-up on external audits.
- Oversees communication and implementation of Quality Management System including certification, metrology and quality audits.
- Reviews QMS documents from the Quality perspective in order to ensure alignment to the QMS (global documents, customer documents, standard documents).
- Support operations in the design and improvement of documents.
- Oversees verification and control of quality levels of manufactured products, including review of all processes directly at the shopfloor, through the records, or through the system in order to identify deviations from the QMS, applicable standards or customer requirements.
- Places material on hold until containments and proper actions are taken where a finding is raised in a verification.
- Follows up on quality KPI's, During budget process, assists in defining KPI targets for the following management period and improvement actions.
- Collaborates with operations in order to identify root causes and actions to avoid recurrence.
- Responsible for customer satisfaction on the quality of products and services.
- Oversees Laboratory and Non-Destructive testing and processes.
- Provides metallurgical assistance to support processes at the plant.
- Serves as the management representative for all quality related projects and processes, reporting to top management on the performance of the Quality Management System and any need for improvement.
- Receives external quality audits from customer and certification bodies (e.g. API, LRQA).
- Leads the analysis and resolution if the result of the audit requires an answer of a finding.
- Participates in HSE objectives setting, defines and implements programs and actions applicable to the area of responsibility for continual improvement of HSE performance.
- Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
- Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with and develops his/her staff and manages HR related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering.
- Five (5) years’ experience in a related occupation in managing Quality Systems performing each of the following: leading Quality audits (API, ISO, and for Oil and gas industry customers); overseeing and implementing production processes, product specification, and standards requirements including API Q1, ISO9001, and ASTM; utilizing technical and process data analysis tools and statistical techniques; applying inspection techniques in seamless pipe manufacturing process, rolling, heat treatment, and finishing; Applying NDT inspection techniques (UT/EMI, SEA); and managing a team of facility personnel.
Special Requirement: Up to 10% domestic travel required to other Tenaris facilities.
