Industrial Process Expert - Bay City, Tx

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES: 

• Advance the output and efficiency of the production processes in the heat treatment plant by identifying the best operational practices and latest technologies employed in the organization through benchmarking of each heat treatment facility and implementing the practices and/or technologies to enhance safety, quality and production performance of each line.  

• Define and update process control variables to assure that the quality of heat-treated products meets standards.  

• Develop and qualify new products through detailed analysis to differentiate the organization from the competitors and increase flexibility of production scheduling in the US southern region.  

• Provide essential trainings for personnels in the heat treatment area to bottom up the knowledge and skill through a collaboration with the corporate university in the organization (Tenaris Univ.).  

• Analyze and implement an optimum setup of the straightening machine to improve pipe dimension which directly affects performance of downstream processes.  

• Lead development of a new application together with the Data Science (Research and Development) team where a multi-variable analysis regarding to pipe mechanical property can be easily performed and facilitate the use of big data among the HT community. 

Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Physics, Materials Engineering or Design, or closely related field. 

• Two (2) years of experience in a related occupation in a heat treatment line performing each of the following activities: failure analysis of heat treated products including metallurgical analysis; new product development and qualification; productivity improvement through heating curve analysis and statistical analysis of mechanical properties dispersion; implementation of quality control plan for heat treated products.
