Position:  Project Engineer

Location: Bay City, TX 


MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:

 

  • Responsible for the execution and completion of assigned engineering and investment projects on time and within budget ensuring compliance with internal quality and security regulations. 
  • Leads the execution of multiple assigned projects for the department.
  • Carries out and coordinates basic engineering studies for new facilities or major changes to the existing ones.
  • Prepares preliminary conceptual engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Responsible for schedule control, cost control and portfolio projects tracking using MS Project and project dashboards.
  • Works with project teams, contractors, and vendors communicating project status and progress to stakeholders.
  • Manages pipe storage yard projects and checks for upgrades and expansions.
  • Develops the run ready warehouse service.
  • To support assessment of excavation locations, identifies underground tubes or lines using georadar emitting different frequencies to identify buried structures, voids or water.
  • Prepares risk assessments and supports resolution of issues that arise during construction.
  • Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
  • Participates in HSE objectives setting, define and implement programs and actions applicable to the area of responsibility for continual improvement of HSE performance.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or closely related field 
  • Five (5) years of project management experience performing each of the following: managing multiple Civil Infrastructure projects including roads, equipment foundations, pipe yard storage, underground utilities, and run off drainage; interacting with multiple disciplines ranging from conceptual engineering input to construction engineering, budgeting, bidding process, scheduling, payments control, contractor and claims management.

 

Special Requirement: Up to 60% domestic travel required to other Tenaris sites
