Verification & Control Leader/Specialist - Bay City
LOCATION: Bay City - Texas - USA
DEPARTMENT: QUALITY
Purpose:
Supports verification and final inspection processes as applicable.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the training of younger professionals and trainees in his/her area of expertise.
- Follows-up compliance with the defined programs for quality verifications and final inspections.
- Performs quality verifications and final inspections as required.
- Generates the necessary reporting of the department activity, including analysis of findings and quality output.
Analyze Data
- Download, analyze and verify process data on regular basis to find trends, deviations and/or risks that could affect process and or product performance.
- Download, analyze and validate the data on daily, weekly and monthly bases to find possible deviations
- Find trends and/or deviations that could affect process and or product performance
- Work with Operations to define and implement actions to mitigate/eliminate risk on deviations
- Re-Define (if necessary) new limits/calibrations/procedures to be used on different products
- Support and/or perform FMEA
Validate Process
- Perform physical verifications to validate process is operating in compliance with limits/procedures
- Understands the process to identify areas of improvement
- Follow up critical orders/customers/projects
- Work with the rest of quality team to follow up critical product/order/projects on further processes
- Main process are Hot Rolling, Heat Treatment, NDT inspection, threading.
Validate Material
- Perform verifications to validate material complies with requirements (measure diameter, wall thickness, thread parameters, etc)
- Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures, and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility. To comply with HSE procedures, report any incident or observation, perform inspections, and participate in the investigation process. Implement the preventive/corrective actions. Keep updated the risk analysis and the environmental aspect assessment.
Experience and Education
- Engineering Degree (Quality or related)
- Self-driven and self-starter
- Strong decision-making skills
- Enjoys fast paced environment
