Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Performs mechanic and hydraulic advanced maintenance inspections, diagnosis, repairs and equipment improvements, providing permanent support in emergencies, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures and best practices, complying with defined quality standards.
Schedule: This position will be required to work on a Day or Night shift.
Environment: This position will work in an industrial, non-climate controlled setting.
- Inspects, diagnoses and performs advanced mechanic and hydraulic repairs, replacements and upgrades.
- Follows up repairs ensuring the performed work effectiveness.
- Makes failure analysis, establishing the problems' root causes and taking actions to avoid repetitions.
- Builds hydraulic piping and installs accessories.
- Disassembles and assembles complex mechanical components
- Performs optical equipment alignments.
- Verifies and ensures the availability of resources and spare parts needed for the execution of programmed tasks.
- Interprets technical drawing.
- Operates welding equipment.
- Executes machine lock outs and tag outs.
- Verifies the correct functioning of tools, instruments and accessories checking they fulfill with specifications.
- Cooperates with the Base Group in preventive activities.
- Interacts with other areas.
- Carries out forklift or radio control overhead crane operation when applicable.
- Updates information in the maintenance systems and performs maintenance reports.
