Position:  Maintenance Senior Specialist (multiple positions)

Entity/Department: Maverick Tube Corporation

Location: Blytheville, AR

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Ensures the compliance of the safety goals, by applying safety policies; and implements or executes the needed corrective and preventative safety activities or action.
  • Ensures the safe execution of all maintenance activities performed under the Maintenance Engineering supervision and/or in scope of responsibility.
  • Ensures prompt correction of unsafe conditions and promotes safe behaviors in the personnel in area of responsibility.
  • Defines, executes, and/or participates in improvement action plan in coordination with each area's Base Maintenance Groups (BMGs), focusing on the chronic problems and high impact failures.
  • Improves the critical equipment reliability and maintainability, through the definition and execution of projects and/or actions in coordination with BMGs.
  • Applies the criteria established for the classification of the equipment criticality, and consequently suggesting and adapting (in coordination with the areas BMGs) maintenance strategies and plans.
  • Defines and implements in coordination with the BMGs the predictive maintenance plan according to the equipment criticality.
  • Assures the proper implementation and deployment of the Tenaris Maintenance Philosophy through training, technical assistance, assessments, and audits.
  • Establishes in coordination with engineering the equipment standardization policies.
  • Participates, together with Engineering, in investment projects, to ensure the standardization, reliability and maintainability of the new equipment.
  • Provides technical support to BMGs in the performance of the relevant failure analysis.
  • Continuously evaluates equipment and systems obsolescence, proposing in coordination with BMGs action to mitigate or eliminate its impact in the maintenance performance.
  • Trains and distributes information about technical and specific maintenance topics, aiming to improve the knowledge and abilities of the maintenance department.
  • Audits and improves the quality of maintenance tasks carried out by the maintenance department.
  • Performs project management to define and optimize the maintenance strategies.
  • Defines along with the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Instrumentation and Robotics department the calibration plan for the associated instrumentation for quality assurance.
  • On call during non-business hours on a rotational basis.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or closely related field
  • Three (3) years of experience in a related occupation working in a maintenance engineering division of a Manufacturing facility performing each of the following: execution and planning of projects for heavy maintenance facility; failure analysis; tribology; vibrations analysis; programming and starting up automations using Programmable Logic Controller; and utilizing SAP.

 

Minimum Alternative Requirements 

 

  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or closely related field plus three (3) years as stated above, will accept five (5) years of experience in a related occupation working in a maintenance engineering division of a Manufacturing facility performing each of the following: execution and planning of projects for heavy maintenance facility; failure analysis; tribology; vibrations analysis; programming and starting up automations using Programmable Logic Controller; and utilizing SAP.
