What will you do in your day-to-day job?

• Ensures compliance with output targets for the melting furnaces and Tuning and Vacuum Degasser processes, coordinating with production areas, refractories and services to meet quality, quantity, cost, security and time with manufacturing programs, optimizing the use of all technical, human and material resources. 
• Manages and develops the manufacturing program for the Furnace and the Degasser in Steelmaking, ensuring their optimal use. Leads and carries out the production program for the Steel Shop, in collaboration with the Shift Leaders under his/her responsibility. 
• Ensures the correct operation of manufacturing equipment in order to allow it to reach the timing, costs and quality established by keeping direct direct communication with the areas such as Refractories Services and Maintenance. 
• Manages the supply of materials and raw materials required in the production process and its correct use to optimize the cost of the steelworks, and the main operating parameters. 
• Manages with the Refractories the provisions and the design of refractory materials for furnaces. 
• Analyzes and implements management parameters that enable the continuous improvement of administrative and operational metrics. 
• Defines the operation parameters of equipments such as VD input and output temperature, time, sequence, etc in order to eliminate downtime in the process and use the time gap. 
• Analyzes the final results of the castings produced and bar passing a tube rolling (mechanical and oil use) in order to review the indicators of purity of the material, size, etc.. aiming to prevent the occurrence of defects that affect the product quality. 
• Coordinate together with suppliers, equipment failure in order that the suppliers provide technical advice for the resolution of technical and operational problems. 
• Guarantees compliance and respect for the consumption targets/goals, carrying out appropriate actions on employees' behaviour that contribute to the improvement and/or productive/efficient use of the plant resources, as well as the decrease of the energy consumptions and waste. 
• To participate in HSE objectives setting, define and implement programs and actions applicable to the area of responsibility for continual improvement of HSE performance. 
• Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with and develops his/her staff and manages HR related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures. Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.
