Commercial Planning Manager
LOCATION: Calgary, AB
DEPARTMENT: Planning
Tenaris is looking for a Commercial Planning Manager (internal title: Marketing Manager) to join our Planning team in our Calgary Downtown Office. The Commercial Planning Manager manages and defines Marketing objectives and activities of the area of responsibility, monitors market dynamics and Tenaris positioning, and elaborates commercial budget and sales forecast.
Role and Responsibilities
- Monitors market dynamics, Tenaris positioning, competitors' behavior and their impact on the company.
- Coordinates Tenaris sales forecast.
- Carries out BU management control (including coordination of budget, price analyzes and definition).
- Supports BU in special projects or studies by assisting in decision making.
- Partners with Commercial Leaders during bid process regarding costs and pricing. Works closely with corporate planning to align regional and corporate expectations.
- Provides market information to Research and Development areas to develop new products.
- Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with and develops his/her staff and manages HR related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures. Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.
- Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
Experience/Education
- 5 + years of experience in similar roles (i.e. Commercial Planning, Market Intelligence, Sales planning)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or Engineering
- Experience in oil and gas preferred
- Excellent Microsoft Excel/Power Point and Power BI skills
