Sales Analyst - OCTG Pipe
LOCATION: Calgary, Alberta
DEPARTMENT: Commercial
Position Summary
Under the direction of Sales Reps, the Sales Analyst coordinates main sales related aspects of offering process, order/take out follow up, invoicing, and post sales activities for key accounts. Supports Sales Reps with forecast reconciliation and accuracy checks and balances. Manages Accessories and Field Services offering tasks for all assigned customers. Maintains digital readiness from roll-out to troubleshooting for all assigned customers.
Role and Responsibilities
- Configures customers in the Tenaris digital portal, coordinating set up and trainings according to the roll-out plan, provides forecast status and confirms agreements aligned to forecast. Assists sales team with troubleshooting and follow up on system issues.
- Assists Sales Rep with offer process: preparation of the Customer Business Summary, new client creation in SAP/Dynamics in coordination with Demand Planning, manages offer status updates in Dynamics and follows up on system issues.
- Supports Tenaris digital portal accessories forecasting/coordination with accessories team, including launching of RFQ, pricing follow up, offer preparation. Works closely with dispatch and provides status reports of Customer accessories in the Tenaris yards.
- Assists in the maintenance of the customer forecast - checking for errors, links and correctness of changes
- Is accountable for the follow up of deliveries for customers
- Prepares KPIs and coordinates market update information from commercial planning for business reviews
- Assists Sales Rep with the Take-Out Reception, validating item against agreement, and working out discrepancies if necessary, including accessories.
- Supports invoicing efforts with the collection of documents and information from customer rigs, in close coordination with Business Coordination and Supply Chain.
- Supports Sales Reps and Credit & Collections with customer payment follow-up as needed.
- Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
- Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.
Skills, Education and Experience
- Minimum two-year diploma in Engineering, business or trades. University Degree is preferred
- 0-5 years of experience in similar role
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service
- Previous experience working in forecasting and other sales related platforms will be considered an asset
