Purpose of the Role
The HSE Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, promoting a strong safety culture, and guaranteeing adherence to occupational health regulations.
This role includes delivering training, performing inspections and audits, supporting HSE initiatives, and contributing to the implementation and evaluation of investment projects aimed at continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in close collaboration with the corporate HSE team to ensure consistent implementation of the HSE management system across the site.
- Monitor the identification, assessment, and control of occupational risks and environmental aspects.
- Coordinate and develop the annual HSE action plan, ensuring its execution and follow-up.
- Participate in the HSE audit program and support the definition and execution of local audit plans.
- Ensure proper implementation, maintenance, and updating of global and site-specific HSE procedures.
- Prepare periodic HSE reports, including statistics, trend analysis, action plans, and recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
- Identify applicable legal and regulatory requirements and ensure full compliance.
- Propose and support investment initiatives aligned with improvement plans and regulatory obligations.
- Support the development and delivery of HSE training programs, ensuring adequate employee participation and awareness.
- Assist internal and external stakeholders by analyzing requirements and implementing necessary HSE adjustments.
- Coordinate HSE communication and awareness campaigns in collaboration with the communications department.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, management standards, and all applicable legal requirements.
- Lead, coach, and motivate personnel, supporting their development in alignment with HR policies and company standards.
- Safeguard company assets, including facilities, equipment, and resources, ensuring proper use and protection against damage, loss, or misuse.
