Quality Senior Manager - Conroe, TX

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:
- Implements Quality policies and programs across manufacturing, supply chain & field service activities, ensuring compliance of plant operations with Tenaris policies.
- Provides technical assistance during the production cycle.
- Validates quality requirements and technical specifications of customers and performs follow-up on external audits.
- Oversees communication and implementation of Quality Management System including certification, metrology, and quality audits; verification and control of quality levels of manufactured products; laboratory testing and processes; Non-Destructive Testing processes.
- Provides metallurgical assistance to support processes at the plant.
- Responsible for customer satisfaction on the quality of products and services.
- Analyze rejection rates, investigate root cause failure, identify gaps, facilitate training initiatives, and stimulate continuous improvement.
- In charge of Quality programs in areas such as Verification and Control, Laboratories and final controls.
- Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
- Participates in HSE objectives setting, defining and implementing programs and actions applicable to the area of responsibility for continual improvement of HSE performance.
- Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with, develops his/her staff, and manages HR related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures.
- Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five (5) years of experience in a related occupation in the steel manufacturing industry implementing quality programs for pipe processes and products ensuring compliance with pipe regulatory standards and norms including API 5CT, ISO, and API 5L; performing Audits and utilizing Quality Management Systems.
- Special Requirement: Requires up to 20% domestic travel to other Tenaris sites.
