Role Profile
A role that supports the development of a comprehensive strategy for company’s media and press relations efforts. Builds relationships with key media channels and drives increase in positive media coverage and brand awareness among public through effective and targeted media use. Collaborates with social media team to ensure unified messaging across all channels.
Reports to Media Relations Director
Media Strategy Implementation
Responsibilities:
■■ Implement a comprehensive media strategy for the company and leads integrated multimedia campaigns
■■ Keeps up to date with emerging media trends and non-traditional media channels and updates media and public strategy accordingly
■■ Collaborates with the social media team to present unified messages on all media/social media channels
■■ Coordinates with other functions to ensure consistent messaging to media outlets, on external site and on intranet
Relationship Building and Management
Responsibilities:
■■ Contributes to the development and fostering of relationship with key media
channels in order to increase positive media coverage
■■ Identifies and introduces new media channels to maximize coverage
■■ Serves as primary point of contact with media, bloggers and internal editorial teams and responds to media requests
■■ Assists in securing features, stories and appearances in national, regional and local media outlets both printed and web-based
Content Creation
■■ Proactively creates and distributes company news via releases, advisories, individual pitches, etc.
■■ Uses innovative media formats (videos, podcasts, social media, others) to increase media presence
■■ Writes local media alerts, editorial placements, web updates and printed articles
■■ Creates and manages editorial calendar to maximize media coverage and exposure
■■ Helps populate and link up external website
■■ Contributes to the Social media efforts
Brand Awareness
■■ Effectively and proactively drives and elevates the brand awareness of the company among public through effective and targeted media use
■■ Works closely with business units to communicate new business initiatives to media and align media strategy with business objectives
Training and Coaching
■■ Supports training and coaching activities to leadership.
Monitoring,Tracking & Cost Control
■■ Oversees the digital media monitoring system to track and evaluate the company’s media presence
■■ Manages media monitoring vendors
■■ Budget creation and control of expenses
Requirements:
■■ English ( Native/Bilingual)
■■ Italian (Wished – Basic )
■■ Experienced: 3/4 years
■■ Availability to travel abroad
■■ Teamwork & promote collaboration.
■■ Excellence and drive for results.
■■ Location : Milano (The position is located in Milano, not Dalmine)
