Title:  Base Maintenance Group Supervisor I

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Develop and supervise the execution of the Preventive and predictive Maintenance plan of the automated and robotic systems across the steel manufacturing facility.
  • Evaluate the efficiency and reliability of industrial CNC Lathes, Automation controls and robotic systems, reprogramming or calibrating to achieve maximum quantity and quality.
  • Execute firmware updates, testing and debugging of automation equipment such as: Robotic Arms, PLCs, HMIs, and Vision systems, etc.
  • Using the following software: Rsloglix500, Rslogix5000, Studio 5000, Robot Studio5.0, Factory talk machine edition, IBA analyzer, Rslinx, and Siemens Step 7.
  • Design/update electrical drawings for control circuits using AutoCAD and ePlandesign software.
  • Troubleshoot and correct Issues with automated equipment such as: VFDAC drives, HMIs, PLCs, Robotic Arms, Vision systems and induction heaters, using tools such as oscilloscope, quality analyzer equipment and network analyzers.
  • Manage REX annual projects (1M USD) related to automation for the facility aiming to decrease production costs, increase safety and reliability and increase productivity.
  • Manage repairs and related services for CNC machining centers and robotic preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and overall plant performance.
  • Support the Engineering Automation area in the research and assessment of the best equipment available and the startup of new pieces of equipment ensuring safety, quality and productivity of the work performed.
  • Proactively motivate, coach, and communicate with and develop staff and manage HR related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures.
  • Keep technical records updated in the maintenance management system (SAP PM).
  • Guarantee the availability of critical spare parts, ensuring minimum stock (while optimizing storage costs) and through the spare part criticality analysis, focusing on standardization.
  • Program the necessary maintenance activities in Plant Maintenance Days and Extraordinary Repairs to achieve the maintenance performance goals and determine action plans according to inspection plans, maintenance plans, master plans, and failures/root cause analysis.
  • Actively perform failure and root cause analysis.
  • Establishes and executes the proper corrective action plan to eliminate or reduce the root causes.
  • Promote knowledge-sharing regarding these events among other Tenaris facilities.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in a related occupation working in a Steel Manufacturing Facility with each of the following: evaluating the efficiency and reliability of industrial CNC Machines; robotics system and reprogramming; calibrating to achieve maximum quality and quantity; utilizing PLC programming, Rockwell and Siemens, and HMI programming.
