Business Coord. Senior Manager  

 

LOCATION: Houston - Texas  - USA 

DEPARTMENT: COMMERCIAL 

 

Purpose:


Contributes to the definition and implementation of sales objectives and strategies at BU Level. Controls and approves offer proposals within a certain range. Manages pricing Intelligence activities. Coordinates the information with different departments in order to sell products and comply with volume, prices and gross margin targets. Coordinates the order acceptance process and manages negotiations with Third Parties. Properly anticipates and forecasts the commercial results of his area. Integrates short-term forecast (Invoicing Projection) with mid-term Commercial forecast, and actively contributes to increasing BU forecast accuracy. Ensures BU compliance with Commercial procedures. The scope covers a large group of accounts, possibly more than 1 geographic region, with differences in terms of business culture, practices, product mix, competition, etc.

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitors market dynamics, Tenaris positioning, competitors' behavior and their impact on BU Sales plan. Directs market intelligence activities and documents information. Coordinates price strategy for spot and LTA businesses within his/her responsibility.
  • Optimizes BU pricing based on Competitive Environment, Market Conditions and TS Plant Load situation. Manages interaction with REPL/SC on Plant Load situation. Provides input to Management about pricing policy, results and competition behaviour. Decides, within a certain range, the prices to be applied on a certain RFQ. Controls/approves and in certain key projects makes the business proposal to be approved.
  • Coordinates the development of sales objectives and strategies with BU / Sub-BUs. Supports the execution of BUs sales plan maximizing revenues and positioning. Integrates short-term forecast (Invoicing Projection) with mid-term Commercial forecast, and actively contributes to increasing BU forecast accuracy.
  • Establishes and manages customer relationships. Supports Key projects, complex tenders and renegotiations. When required, supports the region on face to face meetings.
  • Supports KAMs role and ensures consistent cross-BU approach for any Global Key Account under BU responsibility. Monitors Contractual legal and commercial terms and conditions, providing feedback on best practices, lessons learnt and actively pursuing a tangible improvement at BU level.
  • Develops and maintains strategic suppliers relationships (CRA, Coaters, Accessories, etc.) Coordinates and requests Authorizations for offers accoding to applicable Authorization Manual. Manages previsionas and variation orders during the complete offer/order cycle.
  • Coordinates the order acceptance process and manages negotiations with Third Parties. Ensures BU compliance with Commercial procedures and proper documentation through IT systems (Dynamics, SAP, etc).
  • Covers a large group of accounts, possibly more than 1 geographic region, with differences in terms of business culture, practices, product mix, competition, etc. Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.

  • Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with and develops his/her staff and manages HR related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures. Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.
