Commercial Operations Sr. Analyst/Specialist - Houston/Midland, TX  

 

LOCATION: Houston or Midland, TX

DEPARTMENT: Rods - Commercial Operation Services 

 

Purpose

 

This role is a key customer-facing position, responsible for managing and growing established accounts throughout the commercial process—from handling quotation requests to ensuring successful order fulfillment. It offers an exciting opportunity for professionals with strong customer service and communication skills to build lasting client relationships while ensuring seamless coordination of logistics, invoicing, and order status updates. Additionally, this role plays a crucial part in managing internal processes, including offer preparation, purchase order entry, and contract review, requiring keen attention to detail and accuracy.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for reception , analysis, and acceptance of order requests.
  • Contributes to business growth by understanding customer needs and recommending our differentiated products that best fit their requirements.
  • Conducts Contract Review to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyzes and incorporates changes in orders as needed.
  • Monitors order status and performs post-sale administrative tasks.
  • Contributes and participates in key follow-up meetings with customers to ensure alignment and foster long-term relationships.
  • Ensures compliance with Tenaris policies, procedures, and management standards, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Safeguards company facilities, equipment, and other physical resources from damage, theft, or misuse.

 

Skills and Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, vlookup).
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
  • SAP Knowledge is a plus. 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to engage effectively with clients.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Creative problem-solving mindset, contributing ideas to enhance sales strategies and optimize processes.
  • Proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency and enhance the customer experience.

 

Additional Notes

 

  • Minimal travel required (occasional client visits).
  • On-call availability is not a current requirement but may be valuable for occasional emergencies.
