Position:  HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) Manager

Entity/Department: Tenaris Bay City, Inc.

Location: Houston, TX

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:

 

  • Responsible for management of Tenaris systems to include, but not limited to IDM, TSE, and PMP.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Tenaris 12 Basic Safety Rules, Zero Tolerance Rules, and Site-Specific Safety Rules.
  • Responsible for management oversight of external HSE compliance systems to include, but not limited to ISN and Veriforce; and maintaining procedures specific to Tenaris operations.
  • Conducting communication routines with clients which shall cover safety updates, safety bulletins, accident/incident review, and changes to policies and procedures; ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, ISO regulation, and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure plans (SPCC).
  • Responsible for management oversight of accident and incident investigations; identifying, implementing, and ensuring execution of corrective actions following accident and incident investigations. .
  • Managing risk analysis for specific activities linked to procedures and work instructions; reducing the overall risk score for specific activities by implementing and ensuring the execution of improvement plans.
  • Oversees verification of safety requirements and trainings for contractors conducting work at Tenaris sites; execution of annual working plans for Teanris facilities and annual Individual Development Plan.
  • Responsible for the creation and implementation of annual budget year goals and initiatives.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Three years of experience in a related occupation in Health, Safety, and Environmental field performing each of the following: reviewing and ensuring compliance with all customer HSE policies and procedures, performing Joint Safety and Health Inspections, process safety inspections, and environmental inspections to identify and correct HSE policy and procedure deficiencies, analyzing statistical trends and gathering metrics utilizing Microsoft Excel for relevant HSE key performance indicators; participating and leading investigations to ensure lower frequency of events through root cause analysis by interviewing involved parties, conducting root cause analysis, collaborating with Human Resources for investigation behavioral causes, collaborating with affected employees, and collaborating with operations management.

 

Special Requirement: Up to 70% domestic travel required to other Tenaris sites.
