Purpose
The Logistics Operations Analyst ensures the seamless execution of logistics operations, optimizing the supply chain to meet customer demands efficiently and cost-effectively. This role contributes to process improvements through data-driven decision-making, project management, and system enhancements, driving operational efficiency and improving service levels across the supply chain. The position plays a vital role in aligning the company’s logistical capabilities with market demands while safeguarding physical assets and fostering collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
Main Responsibilities
- Logistics Coordination: Manage customer requests and delivery instructions to ensure timely and accurate shipments, resolving any issues during the delivery process.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure costs remain competitive with market conditions.
- Inventory Management: Oversee product receptions, dispatches, transformations, and returns using SAP, ensuring accurate stock reconciliation at third-party yards.
- Net Billing: Manage SAP calculations and postings for invoicing related to yard operations.
- Yard Projects: Oversee execution of projects at third-party yards, including system implementations, new service requirements, and logistics optimization efforts.
- Asset Protection: Ensure the protection of facilities, equipment, and other physical resources from damage, theft, or misuse.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a freight logistics role, coordinating trucking, rail, and vessel lines, and managing multimodal transportation bookings.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems (logistics, inventory, and billing modules) and strong MS Excel skills for record-keeping.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
