Sales Manager - Houston, Tx  

 

LOCATION: Houston - Texas  - USA 

DEPARTMENT: COMMERCIAL 

 

Purpose:
Leads the commercial strategy and execution for complex technical projects involving compressed gas storage systems and trailer tube sets. This role integrates high-level commercial negotiations, internal coordination, and customer relationship management to deliver tailored, high-value solutions to industrial clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex commercial negotiations, including lifecycle contracts, warranties, and service agreements, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Technical Sales) to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from offer development and technical scoping to third-party coordination and final delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Sales team to define and deliver customized solutions aligned with customer needs.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with strategic accounts.
  • Contribute to commercial strategy and sales target setting within the assigned market.
  • Support business growth through participation in industry events and conventions; identify and pursue new market opportunities.
  • Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
  • To participate in HSE objectives setting, define and implement programs and actions applicable to the area of responsibility for continual improvement of HSE performance.
  • Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with and develops his/her staff and manages HR related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures. Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • 3-5 years in similar roles
  • Experience managing global key accounts

 

Preferred Education:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering or a STEM discipline preferred; Economics or Business accepted with relevant industry experience.

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of compressed gases, storage systems, and industrial gas applications.
  • Familiarity with pressure systems, gas cylinders, large vessel manufacturing, or engineering integrators.
  • Proven ability to manage technical-commercial projects from proposal to delivery.
  • Experience handling demanding clients in the energy and industrial gas sectors.
  • Business development experience, especially in hydrogen and technical gases markets.
  • Skilled in internal coordination to meet tight delivery timelines.
  • Negotiation and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record in setting and achieving commercial goals.
