Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Solutions Analyst to drive the continuous improvement of our internal and customer-facing software. This role will involve data analysis, scientific programming, and data integration to ensure the optimization of our systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate insightful reports, KPIs, and metrics to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues and connectivity problems, ensuring accurate and reliable data flow.
- Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring data issues, improving overall data integrity.
- Develop and enhance data quality standards and best practices, establishing guidelines for data management.
- Establish and monitor quality metrics, providing regular recommendations for system improvements.
- Consolidate and manage databases from multiple monitoring sources to ensure consistency and accessibility.
- Provide technical support for software-related issues, assisting users in troubleshooting and resolving problems.
- Collaborate effectively with remote teams across various functions to deliver integrated solutions.
- Write and maintain code for data integration workflows, implementing automated quality checks to improve operational efficiency.
- Apply scientific programming principles to analyze complex datasets and optimize data processes.
- Implement data integration solutions to connect disparate systems, ensuring seamless data exchange.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience with data analysis tools and reporting applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, contributing to cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with oil and gas well construction principles and software is a plus (preferred, but not mandatory).
- Excellent documentation practices and communication skills to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Up to 3 years of professional experience after graduation.
- Results-driven, team-oriented, analytical problem-solving skills, and strong communication skills.
Technical Skills & Tools:
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python for data analysis and scientific programming; knowledge of SQL for database querying.
- Data Analysis: Strong experience applying statistical methods and exploratory data analysis techniques to solve complex problems.
- Scientific Programming: Ability to develop and implement algorithms and models for data processing and analysis.
- Data Integration: Hands-on experience with ETL processes and connecting diverse data sources to ensure efficient data flow.
- Data Analysis Tools: Proficient in using tools like Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, or similar libraries for data manipulation and analysis.
- Visualization Tools: Familiarity with visualization platforms such as Power BI, Matplotlib, or similar to create interactive dashboards and reports.
- Database Systems: Working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and basic understanding of NoSQL concepts.
- Version Control: Experience using Git for version control in collaborative development environments.
- Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud data services (Azure preferred), along with experience using data monitoring platforms and alerting systems is a plus.
