  • Provides support on the development and maintenance of models and advanced data analysis tools integrated into the real time monitoring tools.
  • Provides technical support in topics related to well design engineering, construction and material selection.


Main Responsibilities

  • Works in the development and enhancement of mechanical models of OCTG strings and data analysis functions integrated into the cloud based real-time tool.
  • Works under coordination of Well Design Solutions Senior Engineers and/or Managers in the preparation and delivery of promotional and training material.
  • Delivers presentations to customers related to technical analyses, failure cause analyses, promotion of technical services, etc.
  • Provides assistance to Well Design Solutions Senior Engineers and/or Managers in the selection OCTG for different types of wells; in the performance of failure analysis investigations; and assessment of fatigue damage in threaded Proprietary Connections subjected to alternating loads.
  • Collaborates on a variety of engineering, research, and development projects related to technical solutions. Active participation in industry associations (i.e. SPE, IADC, etc.).


Special Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum, Chemical, and Mechanical Engineering or degrees with comparable curriculum.
  • Intellectual curiosity and domain knowledge in the oil and gas industry
  • 2+ years of knowledge in Python, PostgreSQL, Flask and Django, Java
  • Experience working with visualization tools: Tableau/Plotly/Grafana
  • Hands-on experience in DevOps, Azure (Real-Time Data Ingestion, Stream Analytics, Data Sync, Kubernetes,...) considered a plus but not required.
  • Good verbal and writing communication skills; ability to work with all levels of the organization and high level of interpersonal skills in managing internal and external relationships
