MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:

• Responsible for variable cost analysis and reporting.
• Prepares and reviews reports provided to management including Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Corporate Planning teams, to support the development, implementation and monitoring of variable cost budgets.
• Prepares the variable cost budget and standard change reports by defining, in coordination with the relevant areas in the Company, the rates for the different variable cost components.
• Analyzes and allocates personnel to production lines; discusses of efficiency of production lines; analyzes cost trends for consumables and services.
• Presents to top management the cost results of the Plants.
• Prepares and issues cost control (efficiency / price variance) reports which allow the Plants to identify cost variances (by Cost Component / Process / Line to departmental managers) and to trigger actions to keep costs under control.
• Prepares and presents to management ad-hoc cost analysis to identify causes of cost deviations.
• Supports Operations in the monthly analysis of the metallic load mix in order for the Plant to define the scrap purchases according to the supply chain’s forecast production volume and scrap availability in the market according to the analysis of the Purchasing department.
• Uploads monthly information to the Company’s Portal App in order for management to review the efficiency and cost of the plants.
• Ensures, in coordination with cost accounting, accurate cost accounting postings and inventory valuation. Analyzes external / internal trends of data that influence standard cost and efficiency variances. Identifies and champions cost reduction opportunities.
• Optimizes current cost management processes and supports the implementation initiatives to increase productivity and development of reports to provide better visibility of cost control to Plant Managers.
• Ensures the reporting is in compliance with the internal procedures of the company.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering Management or Finance.
• Three (3) years of experience in a related occupation in the pipe manufacturing or steel production industries in each of the following: manufacturing cost management controlling deviations in consumption and purchase price variance; preparing annual budgets for definition of product standard cost; issuing cost management reports using Power BI, SAP, and NMS.

Special Requirement:

Requires up to 20% domestic travel to other Tenaris sites for management control meetings
