Emergency Maintenance Group Shift Leader I - Koppel, PA  

LOCATION: Koppel - Pennsylvania  - USA 

DEPARTMENT: MAINTENANCE 

Purpose:

Minimize the impact of failures on production processes by ensuring the correct diagnosis of the problem/failure and the execution of the necessary interventions on equipment to maintain its availability and reliability.

Main Responsibilities:

• Minimizes the impact of failures on production processes by ensuring the correct diagnosis of the problem/failure and the execution of the necessary interventions on equipment to maintain its availability and reliability.
• Performs simple inspections on operative equipment.
• Verifies technical resource availability, ensuring a suitable minimum stock.
• Supports Maintenance team in the execution of preventive tasks during the normal course of production and/or scheduled interventions.
• Supports Maintenance team in the execution of failure analyses.
• Ensures the application of health, safety and environment standards and practices. To comply with HSE procedures, report any incident or observation, perform inspections and participate in the investigation process. Implement the preventive/corrective actions. Keep up on the risk analysis and the environmental aspect assessment.
• Manage and update the maintenance information system and technical documentation, keeping record of the information related to his/her area.
• Participates in maintenance programs to minimize/optimize the use of required energy.
• Acts as a "shift leader" being responsible for leading employees during their assigned period/shift, coordinating schedules, assigning responsibilities and ensuring work safety conditions.
• Comply with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensure adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
• Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with and develops his/her staff and manages HR related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures. Protects from damage, theft or misuse of the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area. 

Skills and Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of experience in Industrial Electricity, Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical Maintenance.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and instrumentation, including PLC.
• Proven experience supervising repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
• Experience leading teams, delegating tasks, and managing shift operations.
• Familiarity with SAP PM or similar maintenance management systems (preferred).
• Ability to work effectively on a rotating shift schedule on days and nights.
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental standards.
• Technical degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field is preferred.
• Experience in steel manufacturing or heavy industry is a plus.
