Finishing Shift Supervisor - Koppel, PA

Purpose of the Finishing Supervisor
Lead and supervise hourly personnel during the assigned shift in Finishing operations. Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of finishing activities, and inspection steps, meeting production targets and quality standards while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities of the Finishing Supervisor
- Lead and coordinate hourly workforce activities across finishing processes, including task assignment, schedule management, and resolution of operational issues, ensuring compliance with production plans, procedures, and quality standards.
- Motivate, coach, and develop hourly personnel; manage attendance, discipline, and other HR-related activities in line with company policies.
- Monitor area’s key performance indicators (productivity, utilization, downtime, rejection rates), identify deviations, and implement corrective actions while driving process improvements and work instruction development.
- Ensure execution of preventive maintenance and inspection plans.
- Enforce HSE standards, report incidents, conduct inspections, and maintain updated risk assessments with preventive/corrective measures.
- Manage resource efficiency, protect equipment and facilities, and meet energy consumption targets.
Qualifications & Experience of the Finishing Supervisor
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a production environment.
- Technical background in manufacturing or industrial processes (preferably heat treatment or finishing).
- Knowledge of quench and temper processes and related finishing operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
