Position:  Maintenance Senior Specialist
Entity/Department: Tenaris Bay City, Inc.
Location: Koppel, PA 


MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:

 

  • Responsible for improving assets availability, reliability and cost by optimizing maintenance strategies, improving the quality of work performed and reducing maintenance workload. 
  • Identifying best practices and following up maintenance key variables, ensuring their correct sharing and implementation. 
    Analyzing and solving common or highly complex issues across mills, whenever required.
  • Managing the cataloguing, updating and sharing of technical maintenance documentation (technical specifications, procedures and operational processes). 
  • Supporting Management in the research and assessment of new technologies, procedures and standards. 
  • Ensuring the correct sharing and implementation of best maintenance practices in the line/process/specialty under charge.
  • Improving assets availability, reliability, and cost by supporting/leading the process of specification, procurement and installation of new assets or upgrades/modifications with Engineering department and the definition of the life cycle for the asset. 
  • Gathering and analyzing equipment data and history records in order to identify improvement opportunities, acting as a formal referent for the specific technology/process.
  • Participating in cause-failure analysis and the definition/implementation of solutions.
  • Proposing and optimizing maintenance strategies by: supporting criticality of equipment analysis and comparison; analyzing and comparing the preventive maintenance activities results with the equipment data and history; contributing from a technical perspective in the definition/optimization of stock and spare parts levels.
  • Improving the quality of work performed by performing random audits of executions of preventive and corrective activities, and systematic evaluation of completed tasks and reworks.
  • Reducing maintenance workload by: proposing and implementing projects or methods to continuously develop/improve maintenance activities; supporting the systematic evaluation of maintenance history and prevention methods; supporting BMGs in evaluating and upgrading individual preventive maintenance task list and work orders for the specific process/technology. 
  • Participating in the definition of the maintenance planning implementation in the line/process/specialty under charge. Following up the execution of maintenance activities, controlling that the internal/external services comply with time, cost, quality and safety standards. 
  • Contributing from a technical perspective in the analysis and solution of highly complex issues in the area/s of specialty, acting as a formal referent in the mills under charge and among other mills, whenever required. 
  • Participating in the homologation process of new supplies and services.
  • Participating in the planning of plant/system investments for the area/process under his/her responsibility.
  • Analyzing and using the Maintenance information systems, in order to support the decision-making process.
  • Defining procedures and fosters maintenance program execution to minimize/optimize the use of required energy and promotes improvement actions in general in order to reduce resources consumption waste.
  • Complying with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.


Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or closely related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a related occupation performing each of the following: overhead crane maintenance; high -voltage maintenance; utilizing SAP maintenance management software to complete failure analysis reports and preventative maintenance schedules; calculating MTBF (Mean-time-before-failure) and MTTF (Mean time- to-failure) rates based on equipment reporting statistics.

 

Special Requirement: Less than 5% domestic and international travel to other Tenaris sites.
