MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:
- Identify and implement best operational practices by promoting technological updates, collaborating on production compliance, optimizing processes and supply costs, ensuring adherence to quality standard, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Provide quality assurance for end products and analyze performance of the manufacturing process and design or improve manufacturing practices.
- Comply with established quality standards and design a stable and defect-free process and track quality procedures from generation to implementation.
- Optimize the process using technological information and reports from competitors, benchmarking activities, and R&D areas.
- Coordinate technological R&D activities in the area.
- Provide technical support ensuring the provision of technical services on initiatives of new projects related to the line/process.
- Ensure satisfaction of internal clients and external customers by monitoring product quality results and analyzing/implementing action plans as required.
- Collaborate in the fulfilment of cost objectives, optimizing the use of the most relevant supplies.
- Collaborate in compliance with line manufacturing programs verifying that the performance of machinery and instruments used in the production process respond to established use and efficiency criteria.
- Take into consideration energy saving issues when developing phases and processes.
- Comply with HSE procedures, report any incidents or observations, perform inspections, and participate in the investigation process.
- Implement the preventive/corrective actions.
- Remain updated on the risk analysis and the environmental aspect assessment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Metallurgy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a closely related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in a related occupation in a Quality department for casing and tubing used in the oil and gas industry performing each of the following: analyzing product capability using advanced statistics; interpreting Process Capability Index (CpK) and Process Performance Index (PpK) charts for products; performing regression analysis to find root causes in multivariable issues during heat treatment and defect analysis; creating Power BI and Level 2 automation tools to analyze process data and predict issues to prevent product quality issues; utilizing Intelligent Building Automation (iBA) to understand process trends and find deficiencies in heat treatment of steel and steelmaking processes; utilizing optical microscopy to understand microstructure of steel and interpreting structure property correlations to reduce generation of non-confirming material; and analyzing customer technical specifications related to casing and tubing used in the oil and gas industry product requirements and analyzing feasibility of conforming to customer requirements.
Special Requirement: Up to 10% domestic and 5% international travel required to global Tenaris facilities.
