MAIN RESPONSIBILITES

Perform process and product verifications and/or final inspections.

Detect and follow up on Quality events (process / product deviation) in the IAM system.

Report results of the verifications and/or inspections performed at the shopfloor or through review of system records to identify deviations from the QMS (Quality Management System), applicable standards, or customer requirements.

Place nonconformance material on hold until containments and proper actions are taken.

Once evidence of conformity available, manage process to change the status of the material as required to release it.

Review QMS documents from the Quality perspective in order to ensure their alignment with global and internal procedures, customer requirements, and all applicable standards.

Implement MOC process to assess changes and action plans to ensure the alignment of the QMS to a new standard edition, when published.

Quality KPI management through follow-up of quality KPI events and defining KPI targets and improvement actions for budget process.

Support operations in the design and improvement of quality documents in IDM system.

Support manufacturing areas on technical matters such as API 5CT;

Drift OD Measurement, Hydrotest testing process, non-destructive inspection; utilizing Tenaris Quality Management System for preparation for audits, development of process documented procedures, management and disposition of non-conforming material, etc.

Supporting technical queries about standard API Oil and gas products (e.g. API 5CT, API DP, API 5L) as well as proprietary premium pipe products offered by Tenaris; providing support in testing and review of documents for the feasibility of new products.

Work with operations in order to identify root causes and actions to avoid recurrence.

Propose solutions to problems or risks detected and follows up and evaluates the effectiveness of the corrective and preventive action taken.

Detect and report any HSE deviation or risk observed during his/her activities.

Act as a reference in terms of process and product Quality.

Provide support in product/process/system audits as requested by leading audits from organizations and customers: ISO, API, Customer audits and internal audits.

Comply with audit requirements, analyze non-conformities and resolve them, as required.

Protect from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.

Comply with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.

On call on weekends in case of emergency.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering

Three (3) years of experience in a related occupation in each of the following: performing process and product verification to ensure standard and QMS system compliance; Quality audits related to pipe production per API & ISO requirements; implementing quality policies & programs for compliance in seamless pipe manufacturing processes including steelmaking, heat treatment finishing, rolling; performing quality event management, document management, and improvement of quality KPIs; analyzing quality data using Power BI & Minitab and Pareto, Histogram, dispersion diagram statistical tools to determine process control design and identify improvements; Data management of manufacturing process variables; and analyze and evaluate, NDT inspection techniques (UT/EMI, SEA), and threading of pipes.

 

Special Requirement: Up to 10% domestic travel to other Tenaris mill sites.
