Quality Manager

Location: Onne, Nigeria

Purpose

Implements Quality policies and programs in the region, ensuringcompliance of plant operations with Tenaris policies. Provides technicalassistance during the production cycle. Validates quality requirementsand technical specifications of customers and performs follow-up onexternal audits.

What will you do in your day-to-day job:

• Oversees communication and implementation of Quality Management Systemincluding certification, metrology and quality audits.
• Oversees verfication and control of quality levels of manufacturedproducts.
• Responsible for customer satisfaction on the quality of products andservices.
• Oversees Laboratory testing and processes.
• Oversees Non-Destructive Testing processes.
• Provides metallurgical assistance to support processes at the plant.0
• Serves as the management representative for all quality related projectsand processes, reporting to top management on the performance of theQuality Management System and any need for improvement.
• To participate in HSE objectives setting, define and implement programsand actions applicable to the area of responsibility for continualimprovement of HSE performance.
• Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, andensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the areaof responsibility.
• Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with and develops his/herstaff and manages HR related activities in line with Human Resourcesnorms and procedures. Protects from damage, theft or misuse thefacilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/herarea.

Your profile should look like this:

• Relevant technical degree and previous experience 3-5 years in an industrial, manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) is an asset.
• Ability to effectively manage and prioritize work.
• Proven ability to make decisions in a time sensitive environment, at times with limited resources and information and, when under pressure.
• Iso certification.
• Quality Management System, coating and threading is considered an added advantage.
