Your Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates the efficiency and reliability of industrial Automation (Level 1: PLC, HMI and Drives) and robotic systems, reprogramming or calibrating to achieve maximum quantity and quality.
  • Execute improvement projects related to PLC programming, HMI, Drives, Industrial networks and automation systems.
  • Defines the equipment criticality assessment, the maintenance policies applicable to the equipment under his/her responsibility and needed to comply with the maintenance performance goals.
  • Defines, develops, and executes maintenance inspection and maintenance plans in quality and quantity to achieve the maintenance performance goals assigned to his/her area of responsibility.
  • Defines, develops, and executes PIN-Plans and Environmental-Plans in quality and quantity to comply with the general and specific safety and wellbeing of people, installations and equipment in his/her area of responsibility.
  • Defines, develops, and executes Q-Plans in quality and quantity to comply with the general and specific quality objectives and procedures in his/her area of responsibility.
  • Actively performs failure and root cause analysis. Establishes and executes the proper corrective action plan to eliminate or reduce the root causes. Promotes knowledge-sharing regarding these events among other Tenaris mills.
  • Defines, develops and executes master plans to continuously improve the maintenance performance, focusing in safety, reliability and maintainability. 
  • Programs the necessary maintenance activities in Plant Maintenance Days and Extraordinary Repairs to achieve the maintenance performance goals and determine, according to inspection plans, maintenance plans, master plans, and failures/root cause analysis, action plans.
  • Guarantees the availability of critical spare parts, ensuring minimum stock (while optimizing storage costs) and though the spare part criticality analysis, focusing on standardization.
  • Keeps the technical records updated in the maintenance management system (SAP PM).
  • Proposes and participates in the redesign of machines and/or components with the Maintenance Engineering support, seeking improvements in safety, reliability and maintainability.
  • Comply with HSE procedures. Reports incident and accidents. Perform inspections and observations. participate in the investigation process. Implement the preventive/corrective actions. Keep updated the risk analysis and the environmental aspect assessment.
  • Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with and develops his/her staff and manage HR related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures. Protect from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.

 

Your Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in industrial maintenance, trades work or hands-on engineering technician is an asset.
  • 7+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Post-secondary education in Electrical Trade (442a), Electrical / Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent.
  • Applicant must be able to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Applicant must be familiar with manufacturing environment safety procedures.
  • Previous experience with PLC and HMI, VFD, Industrial networks: Ethernet IP, Devicenet, Controlnet, configuration of servers, and data acquisition systems.
  • Previous experience with SAP PM considered an asset.

 

Schedule & Working Conditions:

  • 8hr Days – Monday to Friday, with flexibility based on business needs.
  • Work is performed in a steel manufacturing mill.
