We are currently seeking an Electrical Supervisor for our Maintenance department for our Operations group.

 

LocationSault Ste. Marie, ON

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and supervises the execution of the Preventive Maintenance plan.
  • Ensures systematic failure, problem and performance analysis on equipment, defining corrective actions and generating improvement opportunities. 
  • Responsible for supervising and leading the maintenance crew by coordinating activities to ensure line readiness for production.
  • Coordinates training and development plans within the maintenance crew.
  • Supports the Engineering area in the research and assessment of the best equipment available and the start-up of new pieces of equipment.
  • Develops relationships with key internal/external customers to identify emerging needs.
  • Anticipates demands to align operational priorities.
  • Manages resources to ensure financial objectives are met within own area.
  • Resolves complex problems that have implications beyond own area.
  • Promotes and adheres to the Safety and Quality standard.
  • Ensure compliance with all Tenaris policies and procedures.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, mechatronics or a closely related field.
  • And two (2) years of experience with maintaining a heavy manufacturing steel industrial equipment such as, AC and DC Motor drives, VFD systems; hydraulic systems; sensor and transducer devices; mechanical transmission equipment; electrical/electronic equipment inspection techniques; predictive maintenance; power distribution and motor control systems; PLCs and digital/electrical control systems.
  • Experience with CMMS systems, such as SAP, to administer the maintenance work plan is an asset.
