We are looking for a Refractory & Instrumentation Supervisor to join our Maintenance team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manages shift in a production facility within Maintenance
  • Follows up on productivity, downtime, delays, and quality KPIs
  • Performs quality, and safety inspections
  • Follows up on training requirements
  • Interfaces with maintenance on routine and non-routine items
  • Performs accidents and incidents investigation
  • Manages Safety and Quality actions to be implemented
  • Analyzes and provide solution for critical failures
  • Interfaces with ancillary departments (Safety, Quality, Maintenance, SUCH)
  • Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area

 

 

Education/Experience:

  • Degree in Mechatronic, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role, leading teams with 4 or more people
  • Ability to manage and rotate in shift work in an industrial environment
  • Good knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of analog instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature, etc.)
  • Interpretation of electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Knowledge of automatic control (PID) and control schemes (i.e. cascade loop)
  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming, software and hardware
  • Basic knowledge of combustions systems
  • Knowledge of industrial safety
  • Knowledge of SAP

 

 

Skills:

  • Previous experience in the Oil and Gas industry an asset
  • Technical troubleshooting skills
  • Safety and Quality minded, detail oriented, with strong follow-up and analytical skills, Boots on the ground personality, interpersonal skills to work with all levels of the company
