Tenaris University Intern  

 

LOCATION: Sault Ste. Marie

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

CONTRACT: 6 months (with potential to be extended)

POSITION TYPE: Part Time, 20 hours per week. Availibility to work Monday-Friday 8am-12pm, preferred. 

 

Purpose of the Role: 

  • Plans, executes and follows up on training programs according with the position, area, and personnel development plans.
  • Helps to create a valuable learning experience.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the logistics required for training events to ensure their optimum performance; communicating with the trainer and participants, drafting and sending invitations, ensuring rooms are set up, etc.
  • Identifies training gaps by working closely with industrial and operations areas,  analyzing KPIs, and following massive training campaigns.
  • Identifies and negotiates with competent trainers to facilitate the learning process; choosing between internal and external trainers to provide training according to organizational needs demand.
  • Carries out the evaluation of training activities; establishes controls to measure the performance of all personnel involved and evaluates the benefits of it.
  • Updates the information regarding the staff training progress, prepares reports for internal management and corporate decision making.
  • Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.

 

Qualifications: 

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, or other is considered an asset; we will also consider someone who is currently pursuing a post-secondary education.
  • Good knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power BI.
  • Detail oriented, with strong follow-up and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple and shifting priorities.
