Human Resources Administrator - Temporary
LOCATION: Edmonton or Camrose, AB
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
We are seeking a temporary Human Resources Administrator to assist the HR team (3-month term) to help with file management and maintenance, coordination of training as required as well as support the team with recruitment and other HR tasks.
Role and Responsibilities
- Check incoming paperwork (correspondence, invoices etc.) and make copies before distributing
- Coordinate training logistics such as booking rooms, printing materials, collecting RSVPs, etc.
- Lead recruitment efforts for labour positions
- Support other HR functions as needed
- Sort all papers alphabetically and according to content, dates, significance etc.
- Create or update records with new files and information
- Store all paperwork in designated places securing the important documents
- Enter paperwork into an electronic system either by data entry or by using optical scanners
- Deal with all requests to access files and keep logs of borrowed papers
- Develop an efficient filing system to make updating and retrieving files easier
- Follow policies and confidentiality dictations to safeguard data and information
- Monitor inventory of files, paper clips etc. and report shortages
Experience/Education
- Organized and possess a serious understanding of confidentiality and data protection
- Proven experience working in an administrative environment
- HR experience and/or certification would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of filing systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
