Logistics Services Manager
LOCATION: Sherwood Park - Alberta - Canada
DEPARTMENT: SUPPLY CHAIN
We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Services Manager for our growing Supply Chain department.
Location: Edmonton, AB
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates logistics functions, including logistics, transportation and warehousing. Coordinates the operations of the Product Warehouse ensuring customer satisfaction and fulfilment of product shipments. Ensures the availability of required storage space in the finished product stock yard.
- Is responsible for fulfilment of deliveries to customers in due time and manner, covering rig direct requirements and programming the use of low-energy consumption means of transportation for the delivery of the products when possible.
- Manage reprocessing of returned products. Manage the timely up-date of the product physical movement in the system.
- Ensures that the processes are being followed and that the inventory adjustments are properly done. Validates the proper inventory allocation of the products and the inventory reconciliations.
- Ensures the implementation of special projects anticipating and planning guidelines and identifying together with Front End, segments where a Tenaris product or service may be created.
- Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
- Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with, and develops staff and manages HR related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures. Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to his/her area.
Education and Experience:
- A post-secondary degree in Supply Chain Management or similar is considered an asset; experience will be taken into consideration as well.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory position is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the following industries is required:
- Oil and Gas
- Logistics, transportation, and warehouse management
- Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports is considered an asset.
