Technical Sales Manager
LOCATION: Williston, North Dakota
DEPARTMENT: Technical Sales
PURPOSE
Provide direct technical support for external and internal customers for rod driven Artificial Lift Systems, including rod string design, application, optimization, troubleshooting, and failure analysis. The Technical Sales Manager blends competencies, knowledge and skills to identify market needs that can be satisfied through existing products or develop new ideas in coordination with the Product Development Program to create new solutions. The ultimate output of the TESA Manager is the creation of new revenue streams (sales) through the technical interaction with customers.
Accountabilities:

Lead the deployment of new products and technology

SPOC for Rods technical support, Failure Analysis and Quality assessments

Provide competency development in Artificial Lift to internal or external professionals

Develop and Maintain ALS intelligence and mapping of customers and competitors in The Bakken, Uinta, and Midcon regions
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Bridge client insights with product development initiatives, envisioning future applications and offerings.

Identify opportunities, augment client operations, and demonstrate differentiation through adept technical knowledge and proficiency.

Contribute to crafting and disseminating sales resources with a proactive sales approach, offering value-added services (e.g., string design, running services, inspection) as an empowered member of the client liaison team.

Collaborate within a team, occasionally leading investigations and claims management processes.

Provide technical support as needed.

Offer insights towards refining company objectives, focusing on enhancing customer service.

Engage in the formulation and assessment of client-specific sales strategies and oversee assigned technology or marketing projects.

Deliver regular project updates to management, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Uphold compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Safeguard assigned facilities, equipment, and resources against damage, theft, or misuse.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science Engineering degree

Minimum 5 years related rod lift systems experience
-
Production engineering experience is an asset
-
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated leadership ability
-
Demonstrated commitment to personal and workplace safety.

Proficiency in artificial lift methods, especially beam pumping; PCP knowledge is an asset.

Exceptional technical acumen and organizational capabilities.
-
Familiarity with API specifications 11B and 11AX, as well as Recommended Practice 11BR, coupled with experience in the US sucker rod pumping applications and market.

Knowledge of ALS modeling software such as SROD, Rodstar, and PCPump.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint); SAP experience is advantageous.

Robust project management abilities.

Effective presentation skills and adeptness in audience management.

Positive attitude and a collaborative team player, actively contributing to a multi-disciplinary work environment.
